-I own my townhome with my husband -We owe $14,000 on a credit card -We have missed a few payments here and there -We have had this card for 10 years and until recently was in good standing -The credit card people told me they are going to file a court of action to put a lien on my home unless we pay in full within 10 days -They told us to take out high interest loans to pay it -We just want to take out equity but this process takes time and they threaten to take a lien out -I have a registered disability that is recognized by the CRA -I have 2 dependants under 8 years old -I live in BC Canada
-What is the best course of action - we cannot pay the full amount in the next few days before the 10 days is up. What can I say to the in house collector?
