Guy turned on a straight lane had me claim fault. But I realize he was at fault later. Am I screwed?

Post Body

Context without any bs:

I am 24

-Picking up sister from work with my friend in passenger

-it is raining hard and sight line is all but none.

-I merged into a two lane left turn lane and I was in the rightmost (as in the second left turn lane.)

-guy to my right turns with me on a straight only lane and it ends up with him colliding into me.

-the collision dents both of our cars (cosmetic), mine worse than his. He pressures me to claim it on video and I basically saw no other option in my mind because I was in panic mode.

-i have witnesses to the situation at hand that can prove the opposite of what the video he took claims

What can I do about this...should I have admitted or was I scammed?

Edit: NEW DETAIL:

He has an impaired left eye, i do not know if that is a valuable detail. Just wanted to get that out there

Edit 2: This is starting to smell like a scam with the more details that come into light. Thank you for anyone for some advice and also pointing out my mistakes, this was my first accident and hopefully my last. Bless you all.
