I co-signed for my ex’s car…. When I was 19. I’m now 22 and we’ve been split for 2 years plus. I just got a call from the loan agency telling me I have a court order because of non payment. I can’t get ahold of my ex, and we talked about 4 months ago. Last time we talked the loan was in good standing and he was keeping up with his payment, even sent me a screenshot so I trusted him and told him to let me know if anything goes wrong or is up with it. I had no idea and still have no idea what is left on the loan and how long he hasn’t paid for. Idk what to do. I don’t get paid enough to pay his loan off. I definitely learned my lesson and will never co sign ever again, but this is going to mess me up for a long time. I’ve never been to court and I already know I can’t afford a lawyer or anything. I need advice :,)
