They just divided one of the parking lots to add more commuter spaces and the signage indicating where the division is very inadequate, as is plain for anyone to see as when I parked this morning, everyone else in the row was also a commuter. Is there anything I can do?
Honestly just really frustrated, the parking situation on my campus has sucked the entire time I've been here, the only other lots for commuters are on the extreme edges of campus, nowhere near most of the academic buildings.
I walk past 4 or 5 nearly empty lots labeled for residents (who mostly walk to their classes) on my way to class every day when I park in the next closest commuter parking. And the next closest after that is quite literally on the polar end of campus, next to a dormitory they don't use anymore, not even the lot for the dorm, which is quite large and always completely vacant except for one or two maintenance vehicles, but a shitty little commuter lot across a busy street.
For the frankly outrageous amount they charge us to park on top of tuition, I should be able to park in the middle of the fucking quad if I want to, to add more parking in such a half assed way and then charge the student body when their inadequate signage causes confusion is just ridiculous.
Seriously wondering if there's anyway I could fight this legally, especially as the place is state funded. I'm already going to be in debt for the rest of my life because of this school, so how bad could legal fees really be on top of that?
