Is my lease null and void?
Post Body
I signed a lease in August to move into a brand new apartment building in DC. There were delays in the building process and it resulted in building management moving those of us who signed leases into a hotel. At this point, I am over staying in this hotel. The lease start date was 9/1 but we have yet to move into the building. It could easily be the end of the month or early October before I move in. If I decide to leave, would the apartment be able to make me pay a damages or early termination fees?
