I'm in NJ if this helps-
I was the victim of an unprovoked road rage incident earlier this week. I was in a state of shock when it happened, so I didn't catch any information on the car he was driving. I filed a report with the town it happened in, but I don't think the cop that took my information really even cared. It happened at an intersection with a gas station right there. They have cameras but I don't think they're positioned well enough to help at all.
I realized today that this guy was tailing me in the town right next to where this happened, and we passed by a firehouse that has cameras out front. This might help. I'm still waiting on getting this police report back but I don't know what else I can do. Can I somehow add this information to the current report, or should I file a new report with the other town where we passed the firehouse? I don't think this cop is going to do anything about this. I'm trying to find someone who can check that camera footage for me to see if they can catch the car.
I have absolutely no idea what to do. Personal injury lawyer? I can't afford a PI. Any help would be appreciated.
