My job paid to relocate me, I'm being let go 7 months later. Quit? Or be fired?

Post Body

Hey guys, I posted my job issue here. Essentially I'm being fired for "poor performance" In Colorado from a DoD contractor. They gave me notice Thursday that I have two weeks before they start the termination process. In no doubt to get me to resign before termination. But here's where I'd like to shift to legal advice... they gave me a $5000 relocation bonus to pay my way to move here across the country. And being a younger guy with debt to pay off. I don't really have more than 2k in savings and a couple more checks on the way.

Here's the contract fine details :

Should you elect to voluntarily terminate your employment with X Company, be terminated for cause, or terminated for taking an unauthorized leave of absence during the 12 month period immedietly following your effective start date you will be required to repay all the costs incurred by Company Name, including any tax assistance paid by X Company on your behalf.

I assumed terminated for cause could mean anything. But during my managers speech he mentioned that "my breaks have been too long and that it could be a time charging issue" and they are "an at will company". So know these things, do I quit? Hope they forget and move on? Heard that happens often, or do I stay let them fire me. Take the big hit to my resume and security clearance and risk them pulling the "stealing time" that might be suggested to get a chance at not paying this back and taking unemployment?
