Got into a car accident yesterday when I was making a left turn at a greenlight in an intersection and the car parked decided to pull out at the same time. My right front corner bumper was scratched and slightly loose while their left front corner bumper was scratched with their headlight partially broken. I found out wasn’t insured at the time and we agreed to pay for it out of pocket. I told them I would pay as best as I can when I receive my paycheck in a couple of days but now they’re are pressing me to send money today.

I’m wondering if I can get jailed , suspended, or fined after the fact if I don’t comply with their pushy tactics even though I said would pay when I get my paycheck in a few days ?

Also, is the best way to go about this for me is to wait till they come up with a mechanic diagnosis/consultation on the cost and pay the mechanic directly for the fix ??
