a friend of mine is trying to get a protection order against their ex. The ex is going to be bringing a lawyer to represent them. I have tried to get my friend to get a lawyer but they wont. So at this point saying they need a lawyer will not be helpful because there is no reality in which they will. I have tried.
So my question is, are there any resources they can use to figure out how to best represent themselves in this matter. Like how the court stuff will happen? What they are allowed / not allowed to do? how to question witnesses? that sort of thing.
