Detective should know this, right?

Post Body

Long story short I’m facing an insurance fraud charge for something I won’t get into. Wasn’t intentional or done with malicious intent. However I have spoken to a detective about it. When I spoke to him, he seems to have a lot of info including phone records. However he just called me to confirm the state I was born in?

That feels suspicious considering his job, I’d think that would be a piece of information he would absolutely have access to.

Am I overthinking it or is this some sort of tricky maneuver?
