Hello, I 26F, filed for a restraining order against my sons father whom I have known for 5 years. This was due to domestic violence. He has previous felonies from choking, pushing, and breaking my phone while I was pregnant with his son. He also has a substance abuse problem. The most recent incident was threats to kill me if I left and breaking stuff around the house but not hands on. The temporary injunction was denied, but the hearing is set for Wednesday. I am unable to find a lawyer that I can afford. I can’t understand why the judge would deny the temporary injunction as well and makes me nervous about showing up to court. After 5 years I finally stood up for myself and took the steps towards living my life without being abused. It was like a slap in the face. I’m not sure what to do.
