I drove my mom's car and accidentally hit someone's bumper when turning right. My mom's insurance is CLCA insurance (California low income one way insurance) and I'm not sure if they will cover me because I'm not listed on it. And the damages came out to 5k and I don't have any assets to pay them back. What will happen? Will the insurance company think it's worth it to chase after me? And what can I do? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
The insurance sent me a letter saying: It is our understanding that your automobile was involved in an accident with our insured on the above date of loss. Please call me at the number below to provide the name and policy number of your insurance company on the date of accident. If I do not hear from you within ten (10) days, I will assume that you were not insured on the date of loss and will use any legal means necessary to collect the damages from you that we have paid to our insured as a result of this accident, including litigation.
