My soon to be ex boyfriend refuses to leave my house and says good luck on trying to kick him out because he will have 30 days before he is forced to leave. My name is the only one on the mortgage and I pay all the bills by myself. I even pay his bills (car insurance, cell phone, etc) and leisure expenses. He is unemployed and just sits at the house all day and does nothing. I wouldn’t mind being civil and giving him a bit of time to get a living arrangement settled if things were civil, but unfortunately they aren’t. What are my rights in this situation?
Edit:
For clarification the deed is solely in my name and he is not an authorized user on any of my financial accounts.
He is not unemployed due to any hardship or disability, he just simply chooses not to get a job. He uses the excuse that we have a young child together not to get one. I’ve tried suggesting a 2nd or 3rd shift job, but then he complains about not having his “free-time” or not being able to see me. Though ironically whenever we are together I get treated like dirt.
I’m looking for the most affordable option to do this, as I am shamefully flat out broke from putting my neck out for so long. I am also supporting a young child and will be having a baby in the next few months.
