Today my fiancee and I, and our kids were shopping at target. We were in numerous aisles looking for bath products, toys, etc. it wasn’t until towards us moving to the front of the store we noticed a man dressed strangely with his phone up against his stomach, camera facing out. My fiancee asked me to turn around and see if a guy was following us and I looked behind us and there he was, he b-lined it as soon as I turned around to a nearby endcap. As soon as a saw him and how he held his phone I recalled him in many of the same aisles we were in. Right away at that point one of Target’s security guards came up to us (they must have noticed too via patrol and CCTV) and asked if we knew that man and if he was following us, we said we didn’t know him and that he was following us. The guard went right up to him, and as soon as the creep saw the guy he pressed something on his phone (assuming he stopped the recording). They kicked him out of the store and made sure he drove away. We feel very violated and want to know if there is any legal recourse or any advice on what can be done in this situation? I’m very angry and uncomfortable that my fiancee and our kids were being filmed in Target, and I feel like because it’s a public space…there’s not much we can do…
