Would I be allowed to publish letters from WW2 that I’ve purchased over the years?
Post Body

Hello, so as the title says, I’m wondering if I’d be legally allowed to publish letters that I’ve collected into book form. I’ve been collecting WW1/WW2 Era Letters for years. Most of them continue cool historical content. I legally purchased the letters. I then typically research them and post them to historical groups online. I’ve been told by many people that I should put them all into picture book form, sorta as a “Letters From War” style book. I also think that would be a cool way to preserve the letters long term. In my research, I’ve found that essentially all of the original writers and recipients have passed away.

So I’m wondering if this is something I could do? Or if there would be complications.
