My husband and I have had repeated issues with a dishwasher repair/replacement to the point where we've threatened to go to the Dept of Consumer Protection. If it's relevant, 1 can explain the background but honestly, all we want at this point is monetary compensation so that we can get a working dishwasher ourselves instead of relying on them. To proceed, we're being told "For [GE] to move forward with other options, I need to have documentation the tags removed. If they are not, anything I pursue will be denied."
We have no assurances that the issue will be rectified, so l'm hesitant to void the warranty without any written documentation. Is this a common request and is it legal?
