Just had a fight with my brother(23) and me (20) and both of us got a citation for disorderly conduct. What to do now? (Minnesota)

Post Body

This my first offense. I’m in college, and I might have to do court over Zoom. I’m gonna try scheduling a date right now.

I’m super worried that this will stay on my record and I won’t be able to get a job. What can I do to mitigate these issues? The officers said that they have enough evidence to make the chargers even worse but were trying to do us a favor. So I’m not sure if we can even go against the charge and plead not guilty. What do I do??? The citation says “M” for misdemeanor, will that eventually go away after a few years or something?
