You always hear it said on all these lawyer shows that you should never talk to the police. My attorneys have always told me not to say anything to the police. But what if someone is lying about you and trying to get you arrested? Isn't it better to give them a more credible story and to explain why this person might be doing this? Getting arrested is devastating and can destroy so many things in your life even if you're not guilty and eventually exonerated. If someone is manipulating the police wouldn't it be better for them to know?
