My office is moving to a new location. We are located in NY.
For about 30 office workers there will be 2 bathrooms. One of them contains a stall and a separate urinal, which will be the men's bathroom. The other bathroom has 2 stalls, which they are making co-ed. There will be no women's bathroom or single-person bathroom.
As one of the like 4 women that work here, it does not bring me joy to think about using a restroom wherein a male coworker can enter and use the other stall at any time. None of my coworkers are creepy, but what if someone sees something through the gaps in the stall? What if I have to change a tampon? What if we end up hiring a creep? You know what I mean?
Is there any law against this, OSHA standard, anything?
