Custody: clause to limit liability for trip (NC)

Post Body

Background: I do not have custody of my kid, however I still have rights to do so. I have chosen not to use them at this time. Because of this the other parents still has to request me for passports.

Child currently is undergoing medical treatment long-term. I'm having to deal financially with this, via child support. This is in North Carolina.

Before I allow renewal of passport, is it feasible to have a lawyer write up papers solely for me and the other parent to sign, stating that if they go on a trip I am not liable for any financials, medically or otherwise that occur during this trip or as a result of? Would something like this hold up in court, specifically child support court?

Thank you

Clarification: I'm not trying to get out of my responsibility for basic medical expenses. I'm trying to make it not my responsibility for trip related medical expenses. See comment below for further details.
