I live in suburban Cook County. I moved out of my apartment last week. I checked my account and I was surprised to see multiple damage charges on there. It’s bundled with utility charges (which I do agree with and will pay). I have not received an itemized list explaining what each charge is for and why they are charging that amount. Each one just says “damage charge” and lists an amount. I did not pay a security deposit, so there’s nothing to take

Does my landlord have 30 days to provide an explanation of each charge? Or do I need to reach out to them to get an explanation?
