(USA) Are conditional threats over the phone against the law?
Post Body

I called a very hateful, homophobic pastor in Washington who frequently calls for the deaths of all gay people. I know that this was stupid, and I'm not sure what I hoped to gain from it. I'm very mentally ill and I have a lot of problems...

I called from Louisiana, but I live in Kansas. I left a voicemail saying that if he really believes I deserve to die, he should come to my home and take care of it himself. But he won't because he knows I'll pump him full of lead, and everyone will always know that a gay man killed him.

This is probably the single most stupid thing I've done. He texted saying he was taking this to the FBI. How fucked am I? I'm really scared at the moment. I wasn't thinking. I was dealing with a lot of anger and pain from the fact that people are out there calling for my death. I know I need psychological help and I'm working on that. I've blocked the number and I'm not calling again.
