Contesting a Parking Citation
Post Body

I contested a parking citation and have not heard back yet. What happens now?

I’m in Los Angeles, California. It’s been 14 days since I contested it online. I haven’t received a response, so I decided to go on the website and put in my information again. It gives me an option to “Request Hearing”. What does that mean? And why haven’t I received a response yet?

It was a citation for parking on the street between 2AM-5AM without a permit. I stated on the form that there is no sign anywhere on my street, blocks in both directions, about not being able to park on the street between those hours. Doesn’t there have to be a sign?
