Insurance sent to much money for a Repair
Post Body

Insurance company sent me a payment to cover damage. The payment was paid to who repaired the damage. The repair ended up costing more than planned, So halfway through the insurance agreed to pay the additional cost, but didn't pay it immediately. Over a month or two the people who did the repair have been working to get their payment from the insurance company, but haven't gotten it yet because it takes time. The insurance company sent me a check saying it was for the damage that had happened. No one told me that it's supposed to go to anyone, and the explanation of payment simply says payment for the damage. Am I required to pay it to the people who repaired the damage, or just not cash it, or can I cash it and keep it?
