Landlord asking tenants to remove potted vegetable plants due to chance of attracting rodents and pest.
Post Body

Hiya. Some tenants have potted vegetable plants in the alley behind the apartment. We received a message that:

"It has been reported that some residents have potted vegetable plants onsite either on their porch or behind the bldgs.

This is not permitted as onsite gardens create an environment which can attract rodents and pests."

I checked the pest control addendum of our lease and it doesnt specify vegetables. It does say "keep the property clean and free of food waste."

Am I wasting my time messaging the property owner saying there isn't any documentation specifying that we can't have vegetables?

Appreciate your help!
