My ex ran off with our car two years ago. We are both listed as co-owners on the loan, but I was the one making the payments. I stopped making the payments when they took off and now the car is now up for repossession.

My credit is being negatively impacted by this and I would like to help the loan company recover the vehicle. The problem is, I don’t know where they are or where the car would be. Reaching out to my ex is not an option.

What can I do?

I realize I waited a long time to try and rectify this, but didn’t have the mental capacity at the time to try and solve this problem.
