Is it legal for a parent to put a camera in THEIR ADULT (age 29) CHILDS BEDROOM without their permission in the state of Michigan? Is this punishable by the law? Advice or recommendations appreciated.

My mother put a camera in my room to pretty much keep an eye on me as well as around the house. She claims its to watch over my baby who shares the same room with me, but if thats the case, why is pointed directly at my bed only and not the babies?
