Question about bail amounts while in jail - if the amount changes (with another charge being added while in detention), does the new bail amount reflect only the new charge or an accumulation of both charges?

The scenario:

Jailed, bail before hearing was 10k.

The night before hearing, a new charge was added and a new hearing time. Bail remained at 10k.

The day after hearings, a new bail amount of 25k is posted.

We have not received a phone call from the detnainee and are trying to figure out what the new charge could be for.

MY question is this:

Is the new bail amount fo 25k including the old bail amount of 10k? Or are these going to be separate charges?
