What started all of this

I’m 19 years old. About to be 20. Left the family house 3 weeks ago because they found out I have a gf and that’s a big no no in that household. The family has abused me for many many years. During the quick few minutes I had to leave, I grabbed what I could but they refused to open the safe to grab my documents

The documents that were in there was my birth certificate, a certificate of life birth, my social security card and more. On the first day I left the house, I went to the court house to file an emergency order of protection against my family. We went to court where their lawyer took me aside (mistake here for me) to say that I can just come by and grab my stuff with a standby officer tomorrow if I want and can put the order of protection on pending. The pending part and me getting my stuff was told to the judge where 3 weeks from yesterday I will appear in front of the judge again to see if I want to continue or not

I went today with a standby officer where I was refused access to the house and my ex family had put limited stuff into a box right outside the garage. They were recording me so I started recording audio. I was told to go to hell and many things.

During the 5 minutes of them screaming at me while I kept cool with the officer, I was told where their phone was (it was a phone gifted to me, but they made a insurance claim thru Asurion for) which I mentioned they already made a insurance claim and they backed away really quickly. The big issue is I had a computer that was fine that was gifted to me and a boat under my name.

Both my sister and my dad at the same time said 2 different things when I asked where my boat was Sister: “you already picked up your boat” (big lie) Dad: “you don’t have a boat” and immediately quickly went to my sisters story after that

During this interaction they told me to go to hell and I’m going to hell and a few other insults.

I picked up my box and walked away with the standby officer and when checking my documents they gave me. I was returned my social security card but I got only a copy of my certificate of live birth. No actual birth certificate and they wouldn’t give me my birth title because they claimed I have it which I don’t have the physical copy I asked for but I have a digital version of it from the Illinois dnr website

I have court for the order of protection in 3 weeks which I’m most likely going to proceed as I don’t feel safe.

For my items I would need to do a civil case but I can barely afford a lawyer
