So basically my ex asked to borrow 500 dollars at first & he told me he would pay me back, after that he kept asking for more money each days which accumulated to 1,100 on my cashapp that I sent him. At some point in the beginning of the relationship we took a 2 day getaway at an airbnb & I paid in full but he was going to pay me back half, which is 284 dollars. He never paid me back for that either. Then later on in our relationship he has been wanting this down pipe & I got it for him, which was 500 dollars, granted it was basically a gift but I would love that money back as well. I've spoke to him about it & he claims he doesn't owe me that much, & that I can't just want all the money I decided to spend back. So at this point I don't care for the down pipe but he still owes me 1,384 & I don't know what to do. My sister told me I should check out small claims, but I wanted to come on here & see what I'm able to do; if there is anything I'm able to do at least. He is my ex. We've been broken up for about a month. I don't have it in writing, sadly, but I do have all the bank statements & the pictures of where I sent through cash app :/
