My next-door neighbors and I have a very toxic relationship. They’ve done many things to me and my family throughout the years. We have a huge hatred for one another. They’re just a bunch of disrespectful, asshole people in that household. Anyway, I noticed on my security camera today that somebody broke my neighbors window out. He had that black plastic garbage bag or black bag over the window area. He had his car parked in the same spot down the street for almost a month He owns several vehicles actually. If he were to accuse me of breaking his car window, I didn’t do anything. Could I sue him for slander? I’m also a little bit worried about my car. I was thinking just knowing how he is he might try to retaliate thinking it was me that broke his window and try to break my car window out. My security cameras aren’t the best but they’re facing my car all day when it’s parked in front of my house. But can anyone help with this? Can I sue him for slander if he accuses me of breaking his car window out and what if he does break my window and I catch him in the act or somehow catch him on camera?
