Alright so I’m not quite sure what to do… or if it would be worth it. So I’m living in a cottage style home 2 bed, 2 bath it’s new build so cool there’s going to be some issues of course. Now the night I moved in back in Jan. we didn’t have heat, they came over (replaced the unit) cool we’ve got heat. But for some reason the thermostat never holds on the desired set temperature… fast forward months, i live in NC at the beach it’s hot as can be and my thermostat is set for 73 it’s reading 76-78 for weeks, kept calling complaining that something wasn’t right for this extended amount of time, we have probably 5 service appointments scheduled with the maintenance here and then they would either tell us that there’s essentially nothing wrong or call out the HVAC company they are partnered with, no one could find anything until about 2 weeks ago. A gentleman who seemed pretty fed up with the cottages I live at who works for said HVAC company, finally brings a ladder in my house and sticks his head up in the attic and tells me there’s no insulation… So not only have I been over paying for my heating and AC for 7 months, I’ve also been paying 2k in rent for a unit that was incomplete at the time I signed my lease. They aren’t willing to compensate for anything other than the difference in my bill (based on avg of the units around me 😅🧐) should I seek legal action or keep barking up the tree until I get someone who can make decision?
