So my brother (32) was on a dating website (this last Friday) when a user whose profile said she was 20 started messaging him. They flirt a little then she asks for his number. He gives it and they start texting. She says she's gonna celebrate her 18th birthday. He's an idiot because he keeps talking to her and even tells her a couple of his kinks and dick size. She sent his a picture of her butt). Then she stops messaging and he moves on. The next day he gets a call from the local (Iowa) police saying the woman tried to kill herself the night before and the father wants to speak to him or he'll get arrested. My brother agreed and they talked. Basically the father wants money to "pay for daughters Healthcare" or he gives her phone to the cops. And here's the thing: they're in North Carolina both states have the age of consent at 16. So now he's freaking out and worried. Should he be? Did he actually break the law?
