Lemon law? Corvette was sold to me with damage I found 6 months later
Post Body

Bought car in November, itā€™s May now. Car was not blowing cold air (bought in December when itā€™s freezing cold outside so didnā€™t check until a week ago). When I took it to 1 shop, they told me the aftermarket radiator mesh (to protect radiator) cut a hole in the condenser. Therefore my car wouldnā€™t blow cold airā€¦

But the thing is I didnā€™t install it, it came like that when I bought the car from the dealership (because the first owner had aftermarket parts installed and I guess the dealership took it in as a trade and didnā€™t inspect it enoughā€¦. Basically they missed it upon inspection before putting the car for sale)

Now me (the buyer) is left with a damaged right side condenser that the dealership (seller) didnā€™t disclose when I bought the car. Upon bringing it back to the dealer they tried to blame me for the cause (saying when I got my car wrapped, the wrap guy must have reput zip ties or something)ā€¦ theyā€™re basically not taking responsibility. It seems like the repair department realizes theyā€™re at fault, but they said the ā€œsalesā€ department have to pay for it, and they wonā€™tā€¦ so it seems like nobody wants to take responsibilityā€¦.

Iā€™m about to visit the dealer again where they have my car and see whatā€™s the solution. I am waiting for the sales guy to call me back because when I called him after I got an update, he said heā€™ll get back to me.

What should I do if they donā€™t wanna take the blameā€¦ eat the $2500 repair? Get a lawyer and see if lemon law applies? Im so frustrated.
