No property to split between ex wife??

Me and my future ex wife got married in Texas. I’ve read that property and assets are usually split amongst the 2. What if we have no property to split between eachother?? We don’t live together, I live alone in my own apartment, and she lives with her parents. We don’t have any property together, what would classify as assets? My money? Her money? Only thing I can see as “property” or “assets” would be birthday/xmas gifts we’ve gotten eachother before. What if she doesn’t my stuff, or my money and vice versa? Can we decide to not take anything from eachother if agreed upon?
