Is it possible to accidentally convert a legal isomer into delta-9 THC?

Post Body

I'm not sure where would be best to pose this question, but a thought has occurred. With these novel isomers being legal practically nationwide, if one is stopped and is found to have a piece of paraphernalia used for delta-8, THC-O, THCP, etc in their possession and they demand it be sent off for testing, is it possible for resin to give a false positive for delta-9 and lead to a possession/paraphernalia charge? I live in a state in which all hemp based derivatives and isomers are technically legal, however cannibas itself is so strictly illegal that a single seed is considered possession. First charge of personal use (any amount) is a misdemeanor, second time of any amount is a felony. In all cases where I have such paraphernalia, I have the corresponding packaging to demonstrate purchase of a legal isomer, but if a lab test came back with a positive for delta-9 residue I worry it'd be difficult to argue my innocence in court.
