Post Body

I live in alexandria VA amd I am being evicted. I have gone to court once where I disagreed with the eviction charge amount. I have the second court date April 4th. I a, unemployed at the moment but just accepted a job offer. I have not signed job contract yet and the job doesn't start for 30 to 60 days. I am a contractor for federal govt. I am hoping to be able to talk with the apartment management company and get a payment plan. I am waiting on my taxes amd unemployment payments both are 60 days past due to me. If i get them I will be able to cover most of tue back rent.

Any recommendations or help on how to go about this would be great.

Second question. The apartment company just sent me my lease renewal paperwork. I think i read, not positive, something in VA tenant law that states if the landlord and tenant sign a new lease the eviction has to be dismissed or something like that? Is anybody familiar with this?
