I started doing BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) classes in September and due to my work schedule, I havnt been able to go since December. The deal was that you get a free gi if you sign up for a year long membership (worth about $200 apparently.) The membership is 220 dollars a month and I was told I can't cancel it, pay for the Gi or get any sort of refund. I'm also going to be moving to Florida in a few months, so there's another reason why I won't be able to use the membership if that matters. I'm planning on paying a 30 dollar fee to my bank to block the payments from the business. It's a nice place, run by good people, but I gotta pay rent, i have some debt I need to pay off within the next 80 days from getting car work done and I really can't afford the extra 220 dollars a month for a membership to a martial arts gym that I don't even have time to use. So my questions are: what are the chances they take me to court over this? and is there any other way to stop paying them?
