My company made a āPersonal Listening Deviceā Communication. I work in a clean room where no cell phones are allowed. There is a room directly outside of the clean room that having a cell phone out use to be allowed but no longer is because people were abusing it to text or change the music. I had to switch shifts which forces my 11 year old son to get ready for school independently. This is new for him.
So I sent my boss an email (being honest.. I could have just went to the bathroom everyday and called my son but I honestly just wanted to hear there response to see how sh*tty they were) and asked if I can leave the clean room and the room next to the clean room where phones use to be allowed to call my son for literally 5 seconds to make sure heās awake.
They said āwe have reservationsā. He called me into his office at the end of the day and said I wasnāt allowed to call my son. I responded with then I will just call him when I go to the bathroom.
He then basically told me I would be reprimanded if I went to the bathroom around the same time 3 days out of my 4 day week.
Is this allowed?
