My friend is the manager at a subway in Ohio. She hired me on to work Sundays. When I was hired she shoved a paper in my face and said sign this it's just new hire paperwork talks about dress code and stuff I said ok sure and signed it. She didn't explain anything. She handed me a key to the store and I told her no I don't want it but said I have to have one. Last month I texted her saying I was very sick and couldn't come in. She cussed me out. She took me off the schedule and blocked me on social media.i reached out to her and the owner asking to see the paperwork I had signed when I was hired and no one will respond to me. Last week the owner texts me and says I did a no call no show meaning I quit and I need to come sign a separation form return my key and can collect my tips I had earned over the last 6months. I told him I did not quit and I did inform the manager I was sick and not coming. He told me in the paperwork I signed it says I need to call the store. "The new guy wasn't even in the store at 730am" I told him I texted the manager and she was aware. He said no I need to call so that doesn't count. How can I get my tips? I lost the store key. The manager knows I lost the key. Can he keep my tip money or sue because of a key. He still won't show me what I signed. I don't care about losing the job. I'm just worried about the key situation and no getting my tip money.
