I was divorced a year ago. I was experiencing a mental breakdown and wife decided she was done with the marriage. Due to my mental health status she told me that her attorney told her that "Any judge in the world would give her full custody child support."
I dearly love my child and was unemployed so this was really scary. I caved and gave her everything she wanted. Now that I'm thinking clearly I see the far from equitable situation that I'm in. She got all of our savings and retirement. I got next to nothing. My attorney had me sign something limiting their liability because it was so crazy inequitable but I just couldn't mentally handle and extended fight.
Is there any advice except 'get an attorney'? Has anybody experienced anything like this?
