I was burglarized in 2021. I had blink cameras, so it was relatively easy to get video of it happening and I was able to get the car and I was able to catch them parked at a home and get the police to show up. They arrested 3 people with all my stuff, including firearms. So basically in Jan of 2023, the trial is about to start when suddenly I get a call from the prosecutor. They tell me the judge has dropped the case because the police failed to provide evidence in time or through the wrong procedure. I ask what they're going to do and they tell me it's basically over. Doesn't matter that they literally arrested them with my property. I told them I'd follow up for more details because I was at work. I called and the prosecuting attorney was somehow always "out of the office" after this. Now, I wait 2 weeks to collect my firearms and then I check the public case records. I saw that some evidence was rejected, but idk what it was. I also see that it was the prosecutor who dropped the case (without prejudice, so I have 1 year to file again if I want). My question is how can I find out what evidence was rejected and why? I also want to know if there are any ethics violations I should complain about with the DA's office because they lied to me (they said the judge dropped the case. I asked them multiple times and they specifically said "the judge") and basically gave me the run around for 2 months after that call.
