Company Reimbursement

Post Body

I'm a 1099 contractor with a logistics company, the title I hold is Operations Manager. Over the last 18 months, my reimbursements previously were 12k, which due to the economy and bad decision in company by the owners, they couldn't pay anything, they were barely making payroll. I allowed them to pay me with a piece of equipment. 6 months later, obviously not learning my lesson and wanting the company to succeed. My reimbursements are currently over 22k, again we agreed on 2 more pieces of equipment to resolve the delinquent reimbursement debt. Now for over3 months they are refusing to release the titles and continously back pedaling on our agreement. I have numerous emails, texts and a zoom call recording, where it's all be discussed. I am in current possession of the equipment for several months now. I know I will lose my 130k a year position when I pursue this further, which I definitely am. The question I have, should I sue for the 22k reimbursements plus attorney fees or place liens on the equipment? And since I have been paid through their business account and zelle from both of their personal checking accounts for my payroll at times, how do I go about having their accounts frozen until this matter is resolved? Appreciate any assistance.
