Hi! Iā€™m in a bit of a situation at work and could use advice.

Iā€™ve been dealing with an ongoing health condition that has caused me to miss work many times since the beginning of August. My supervisor accused me yesterday of abusing my leave, despite 100% transparency with her & being forthright about the situation. She based this on a time card mistake and a comment about trying to get fresh air and exercise per my doctorā€™s recommendation. She is telling me that I need to provide a doctors note (which is perfectly fine), but then for each occurrence of missing work moving forward I will need a doctors note.

So far, Iā€™ve followed all procedures, consulted HR, and even initiated the FMLA process. My supervisorā€™s behavior has been affecting my mental well-being and causing a lot of stress, on top of my existing health issues. Iā€™m unsure how to proceed, as we have a meeting scheduled to ā€œdiscuss furtherā€ this coming Monday.

Iā€™m considering filing a grievance due to the emotional and mental toll this is taking on me, and for being wrongfully targeted for abuse of leave. This is most certainly not the only occurrence of her assuming the worst of me due to a small mistake.

Any advice on how to handle this meeting or the situation in general would be greatly appreciated.
