A buyer from facebook was interested in a Diagnostic Tablet for vehicles i had up for sale through facebook marketplace. I met up with him and his girlfriend and he said he had to get the device verified to check if it wasn't marked as stolen so he can activate it. Considering i took his license plate down and his facebook had verifiable information on it i let him Take the device with him. Later throughout the week he called me saying its not stolen and asked could we go down from listing price and i agreed.

Now 2 weeks later, hes not returning calls or answering my text messages. The listing price was 900$ but he haggled me down to 750$. With message proof and his vehicle license plate, Name and address, do i have a presentable case to get him served? or will it likely be tossed out due to some sort of hearsay?

If it helps, i still have the purchase receipt but my gut is saying he wont bring it to court to verify the serial number nor will they make him.
