Like title says but a couple weeks ago, although I’ve complained to the company and a few other places in the past, I finally had security camera video proof. He had broken an old nj crib box open under the meter to make some changes. Sheriffs were informed, police report taken, power company aware and a company called “shared metering” under NYS were also contacted by power company. That’s just the. Name, we have separate meters. It’s not the same building. Small home is his duplex is mine next to it. Evidence is video of him and girl breaking into it and doing whatever inside of it and then their power coming back on. And detailed photos of all hardware he connected. Police have copies of all but have not contacted or arrested him even though they can. This is because he’s a drug dealer and they’re ignoring this bc they want him for that. But have been unable to do anything for over a year for whatever reason. Power company has admitted he is stealing promised me refunding and a worker coming to remove it however everytime they then go speak to supervisor and tell me to call the number thag I found out to be “shared metering”. They tell me that I can’t remove it, they have to inspect it 3 weeks from now and then they only deal with landlord not me. Also that there is most likely no refund (it’s $5,000 at minimum over paid) also that the “investigation” is at least 5 months long and I’m expected to keep paying the inflated electric bills ranging from $250-300/month the entire time or my power would be shut off by company. I want charges pressed it seems cut and dry and says I’m NYS this is at minimum grand larceny. But they won’t the sheriffs don’t respond to those requests at all. I want it disconnected, and my money returned. That’s also ignored. What can I do?
