So today I was injured at work. While coding items in the cooler I was bent over and crouched a bit when my assistant general manager kicked the door open and slammed it against my tailbone. Iโve had a pilonidal cyst on my tailbone for about 4 years now but have never gotten surgery to get rid of it due to 4-5week recovery time and not being financially stable enough to take off work for that time; plus it would suck not being able to bend over. Iโm wondering if since I got injured at work and now itโs causing me a lot of pain and also shooting down my leg, not only my tailbone, if once I goto the doc and they talk about surgically removing the cyst again if I could get paid for the recovery time after the surgery due to the work injury? Any advice?
