Hi redditors,

I'm seeking help as I'm at my wit's end. Here's a brief summary of the situation:

I had an ex-roommate that lived with me and my ex-wife who was a close friend to my ex. They're no longer in contact or in speaking terms. We were all on the lease for an apartment we lived in, and she ended up breaking the lease because she suddenly decided to move to another state.

I took matters to court afterwards because while she agreed to help out for a portion of the rent until the lease was over but she never paid her share, and won this case. I got a court order from a KY court around 2017-2018, and sent her an email regarding her options. She agreed to a new term to pay me back, but then never executed it.

She now resides in TX near her hometown, and I only have her basic information such as email, name, and (maybe) her current address. I've tried reaching back out via email but never heard back since then.

I've tried reaching out to a few attorneys offices and collection agencies but have not gotten any responses. The amount owed is around $1600, but I have no idea what else I can do about this situation.

Are there any particular businesses or attorneys I should seek for? I'd love to hear any recommendations you may have. I could really use that money because now the amount we owed to the property company has gone to collections, and it's hurting my credit for a couple years now.

Thank you so much for your time, and feel free to leave any suggestions or questions you may have!
