Post Body

I work in customer service. Do I have the right to waive my meal break if I work six hours or less or can an employer force an employee to take a 30 for a shift scheduled 8am-1:30, for example?

I've also seen that a worker is entitled to an uninterrupted break of 20 minutes when daily working time is more than six hours. Can an employer legally refuse ten-minute breaks if they're giving a 30 for an eight hour shift?

Can an employer legally force an employee to take a 40 minute break?
