Hi! I am a salesman and got into a car accident recently in GA, USA. My boss wanted to find if he can claim business loss due to my injury to the person who caused the accident. (Rear-ended, i am not at fault).
The lawyer i was about to hire said that it would be possible. But another lawyer i got referred to said no. I liked the first lawyer but it makes me feel suspicious about his knowledge as he said it would be possible to have it as my claim that my company (i am not a shareholder), loss of income.
I tried to get more info from him but then he said if i can show and convince all juries, it would be possible but won't be easy. Then i asked if it would be the revenue or profit that i can possibly claim, he said profit but he will claim revenue anyways. Then he added, it is still my claim and i could reimburse my employer.
Is it even possible?
Thanks everyone!
